Depending on where you go, you can have a choice of the following:

  • Canoeing and kayaking
  • Rafting
  • Beach walking
  • Kite flying
  • Team sports (volleyball, football, etc.)
  • Crocodile watching
  • Whale watching
  • Turtle watching
  • Traditional dugout canoe fishing (with experienced local fishermen)
  • Deep sea fishing

* The Black Star Surf Shop at Busua (http://ww.blackstarsurfshop.com) offers surfing equipment, accessories and lessons.

Caution: the sea is reasonably safe only at Busua, Lou Moon (Axim) and Miamia. In other places it is sometimes very dangerous and unsuitable for children, as the waves are very powerful and can knock swimmers down. In some areas, there may be currents that prevent swimmers from getting back to the shore.  If this happens to you, do not try to swim against the current. Rather, swim along the coast until you find a place where you can get help, or where you can get back onto land.
